4th week of Lent, Friday – Fire from Heaven – at Pentecost. I have never seen this happen but I have felt the warmth of someone living in God’s presence. Think of someone like this, who has affected you. Have you been this to someone else?

FOURTH WEEK OF LENT -THURSDAY
FOURTH WEEK OF LENT -WEDNESDAY
4th week of Lent, Wednesday – ‘Set to Fire to the Rain’, writes singer Adele. Like an Australian bushfire which is required to germinate some types of seeds, so too is fire needed in our lives. I don’t like it anymore than you do, but that doesn’t keep it away. I pray that God gives me the courage to live my life and you the courage to live yours. And might we help each other.
FOURTH WEEK OF LENT -TUESDAY
4th week of Lent, Tuesday –Burn some of last weeks’ grass in your candle…carefully. Watch the change. A fire destroys, while some say purifies. Both ways, for a human in this process, pain is involved. Much pain enters our lives, as a matter of course. Pain must be left to be pain. However, we don’t cling to or wallow in our pain. First we enter in, live in the pain, and breathe from inside the pain. Then we ultimately let go of pain. All creatures suffer – not only human ones. That means we can all contribute to bearing one another’s burdens. Who helps bear your burdens? Whose burdens do you bear?
Week 20, Day 131 of BBB Installing at Bendigo
Week 7, Day 044 Artist’s Talk Insightful and Entertaining
Week 7, Day 041 NO POSITON OFFERED
It was expected that I would hear from the university about the Lecturer position – in Education (Visual Art) within the week. I had had the interview with seemingly good results but…the position was not offered to me. Too bad. It would have combined much of my experience to date – as visual art practitioner, educator, academic, researcher and teacher to art teachers. I was so keen and excited to think that what I know could be worth something on the open market. Sure, it would have complicated things in my personal life to live interstate with my job and commute home. Sure, it would have complicated the year’s Tour of B, B & B. But it would have been such fun to be able to invest myself in what I value in a job… insight into art to people who can make this insight real to others in their communities too.
If you were considering offering a job (as described above) to the person (described above and pictured below), wouldn’t you have thought you had found the ideal prospect? Instead, I am short listed but rejected for reasons still unknown to me.
